Article 1426
Payment by Cheque or Other Instrument
(1)
Payment may be made in any form used in the ordinary course of business or social conduct at the place for payment.
#(2)
However, a creditor who accepts, either by virtue of sub-Article (1) or voluntarily, a cheque, any other order to pay or a promise to pay, is presumed to do so only on condition that it will be honored.
