Article 30

No court shall try any suit where the matter in issue was or is also at issue in a previously instituted civil suit between the same parties, or between parties under whom they or any of them may claim, litigating under the same title, where such suit is pending in any court in Eritrea having jurisdiction in the matter.

If a lawsuit on the same causes of action between the same parties is already pending abroad, an Eritrean court may stay the proceedings if it is expected that the foreign court will render a decision recognizable in the State of Eritrea within a reasonable time.
