Article 398

On the filing of a petition, the court shall fix a day for hearing the opposition and shall cause a copy of the petition to be served on all the persons who were parties to the case in which the judgment opposed to was rendered together with a summons to appear on such day.

The proceedings upon the filing of the opposition shall be subject to the same provisions as the proceedings upon the original action and the court may on the completion of such proceedings confirm, vary or set aside the judgment opposed to, but only in as far as the interests of the opposing party are affected by this judgment.
