Article 13

Courts to be Open to Public

(1)

Except as provided in sub-Article (2), all proceedings in Court shall be open to the public.

(2)

Sub-Article (1) shall not apply if:

(a)

the accused is a young offender; or

(b)

the Court deems it necessary to exclude the public from all or part of any proceeding for reasons of morality, state security, or the privacy or security of a person concerned in the proceeding.

(3)

The Court may, if the interests invoked warrant such an order, warn the persons allowed to attend a trial from which the public has been excluded under sub-Article (2) not to discuss or disclose what is said in Court.
