Article 48
Limitations on Executing Punishments
(1)
Final punishments that have not been executed shall not be enforceable when the following time periods have lapsed:
#(b)
twenty years for any sentence of imprisonment of more than ten years and less than imprisonment for life;
#(2)
The period of limitation shall run from the day on which the judgment becomes final and enforceable.
#When the offender was granted the benefit of a suspension of the penalty, the period shall run from the day the suspension was cancelled and the penalty ordered.
