Definition
(1)
A promise of sale is an agreement whereby the owner of a property undertakes to sell such property to a specified person, should such person wish to buy it.
#(2)
A right of pre-emption is a right deriving from an agreement whereby the owner of a property undertakes to sell such property in preference to a specified person, should the owner decide to sell it.
