Article 1715
Deterioration
(1)
The person bound to make a restitution shall indemnify the person entitled where the former has caused the thing to deteriorate.
#(2)
He is liable even for such deterioration of the thing as was caused by force majeure, if, at the time when this occurred, he knew that he had no valid contractual or legal right to the thing.
