Article 2709
Games and Wagers
(1)
The provisions relating to insurance shall not apply to operations which are in the nature of games and wagers.
#(2)
Except as provided in Article 2710, games and wagers shall not give rise to valid claims for payment.
#(3)
Where a person capable under civil law has spontaneously paid a debt arising out of a game or wager in which no fraud has been committed, such person cannot claim back the sum paid.
