If the person whose death has been judicially declared reappears after the judgment declaring death, the judgment shall be annulled, at his request or at the request of the public prosecutor, by the Court which gave it.

After the annulment has become final, the Court registrar is obliged to notify the civil status officers who have transcribed the judgment declaring death. These civil status officers shall also transcribe the annulment onto their registers of deaths.
