Where the prestation is indivisible, or where the debtors are each liable for the whole of the same obligation by reason of law, custom or a juridical act, they are solidarily liable.
A contract between debtor and creditor may have as a result that, where an obligation is transmitted to two or more successors, they will be liable for unequal shares or will be solidarily liable.
