The surviving father or mother of a minor may, by a last will, stipulate who shall be guardian of the child after his or her death.

The surviving spouse may restrict the powers of the guardian or subject the exercise of such powers to specified conditions.
He may stipulate that one or more specified persons may not be appointed as guardian of the child.
