The holder may refuse to return the movable to the owner until the latter has paid any indemnities due under this Chapter.

He may not refuse to return the movable pending payment of a claim to which he is entitled on another ground.
Where he denies that he owes the holder an indemnity, the owner may demand that the movable be returned to him on his providing adequate security for the release of any liability he may have incurred.
The provisions of the current article are applicable by analogy to the possession of an immovable under a gratuitous contract of loan for use.
