A co-partitioner shall have a legal hypothec on the immovables allotted to his co-partitioners in accordance with the act of partition.

Such hypothec shall secure the payment of any compensation in money that may be due to him or such other compensation as may be due by the co-partitioners where he is dispossessed of any property allotted to him.
