Whosoever, for the purpose of exercising a right, alleges that a particular person is or was alive on a certain day, or is dead, shall prove the allegation.

The proof that a person is or was alive shall be made by producing the person himself or by the evidence of three witnesses or any other reliable evidence.
The proof of death shall be made in accordance with the provisions of Chapter 3 of this Title.
