If two persons have lived together, at least, for five years as if they were married and the relationship has broken down, the Court may, upon request, order the provision of support by one of the former cohabitees to the other former cohabitee.

The provisions with respect to the obligation of support by a former spouse are applicable mutatis mutandis.
