Where a person dies, the succession of such person, called the deceased, shall open at the place where he had his principal residence at the time of his death.

Matters regarding the succession shall be dealt with by the Court that has jurisdiction at the place of principal residence.
The Court shall keep a register in which facts concerning the juridical position of successions that have opened up, must be entered.
The register is open to parties who have sufficient interest in the desired information.
