may search such person to the extent necessary to ensure the person does not possess any weapons and may seize any weapons found; and
upon reasonable grounds to believe that the person arrested has about his person any articles which may be material as evidence in respect of the offence for which he has been arrested, may search such person to the extent necessary to find such articles.
