No person shall be found guilty whose conduct is not accompanied by the required element of fault by reason of mistake or ignorance as to relevant circumstances.

Sub-Article (1) shall not apply where the required element of fault is negligence and the person’s mistake or ignorance results from that person’s negligence.
Mistake as to a fact that constitutes a specified offence shall not exclude the punishment of the doer for another offence constituted by the act performed.
The offence is committed where there is a mistake as to the identity of the victim or the object of the offence.
