sells, alienates, pledges, buys, trades, traffics or otherwise enslaves another person;
keeps or maintains another person in a condition of slavery even in disguised form; or
knowingly transports whether by land, sea or air persons enslaved or aids and abets such traffic whether within Eritrean territory or otherwise,
is guilty of enslavement and abetting traffic, a Class 6 serious offence, punishable with a definite term of imprisonment of not less than 7 years and not more than 10 years.
If the person enslaved is under eighteen years of age, the offence shall be a Class 4 serious offence, punishable with a definite term of imprisonment of not less than 13 years and not more than 16 years.
