Article 1004

Treasure

(1)

A treasure shall become the property of, the owner of the thing in which it was found.

(2)

The finder is entitled to a reward equal to one half of the value of the treasure.

(3)

Things of which nobody can be shown to be the owner shall be deemed to be treasures where it appears certain, at the time of their discovery, that they have been buried or hidden for not less than fifty years.
