Article 117
Modes of Service
(1)
Unless otherwise provided, the summons will be served on the defendant by the court and the court may authorize any person, hereinafter referred to as the serving officer, to do this on its behalf.
#(2)
The court may order service by any means, provided that such means put the recipient in a position to be able to ascertain the content of the summons within due time.
#(3)
Without prejudice to the provisions of the following Articles, the summons shall as far as possible be served on the defendant in person.
#(4)
Unless otherwise provided or ordered by the court, where there are more defendants than one, the summons shall be served on each defendant.
