Article 1470
Renunciation by Gratuitous Title
(1)
Each solidary debtor is entitled to accept on behalf of his co-debtors an offer by the creditor to renounce his claim by gratuitous title to the extent that this renunciation also applies to the co-debtors.
#(2)
An extension granted by the creditor for payment to one of the debtors also applies to his co-debtors to the extent that this turns out to be the intention of the creditor.
