Article 1564
Designation as Beneficiary
(1)
Where a stipulation for the benefit of a third person is without effect with respect to that person, the stipulator can designate either himself or another third person as beneficiary.
#(2)
The stipulator is deemed to have designated himself as beneficiary when the person from whom the prestation has been stipulated has given him a reasonable period for the designation and he has not done so within such period.
