Article 2371
Obligation to Give Notice
(1)
The guest shall notify the hotelkeeper as soon as is reasonably possible after the guest learns of the loss or destruction of the property.
#(2)
If the guest fails to notify him, the hotelkeeper shall be released from liability unless the guest proves that the damage was caused by the hotelkeeper's negligent or intentional act or omission.
