Article 112
Plea of Guilty
(1)
Where the accused admits without reservation every ingredient of the offence charged, the Court shall record a plea of guilty and may forthwith enter a finding of guilt against the accused in the record.
#(2)
The Court shall not record a plea of guilty unless and until it is satisfied that the plea is made freely, voluntarily and with a clear understanding that the plea is an admission of guilt that might lead to the imposition of sentence.
#(3)
Where a plea of guilty has been recorded, the Court shall require the prosecution to produce such evidence as the Court considers necessary to substantiate the charge and the Court may also permit the accused to produce evidence.
