Article 1219
Duty to Inform Owner
(1)
The usufructuary shall report to the owner any person who, during the currency of the usufruct, commits acts of usurpation or otherwise interferes with the rights of the owner.

Where he fails so to inform the owner, he shall be liable for any damage as though he had himself caused the damage.
