Article 615

Without prejudice to the provisions of the preceding Articles and unless otherwise provided in the contract of marriage as provided in Article 558 or in a contract validly concluded between the spouses, common property shall be divided equally between the spouses.

Those provisions in the Book of this Code relating to Successions which concern the manner of making a partition, the relations between co-heirs after partition and the rights of creditors after partition shall apply mutatis mutandis to the partition of common property.
