Article 424

Upon request of the judgment-creditor, or on its own motion, the court may summon and examine the judgment-debtor under oath as to his means or for any other reason it deems necessary.

Where the judgment-debtor fails to appear in answer to the summons, the court shall order that he be arrested and brought before it for the purpose of being examined.

For the purpose of an examination under this Article, the court may summon any person or require the production of any book or record.
