Article 62

Authorized Sentences

A Court sentencing an offender convicted of an offence may impose one or more of the following punishments:

(1)

a sentence of imprisonment, or when specifically authorized by law, capital punishment;

(2)

monetary punishments, including:

(a)

a fine;

(b)

confiscation of property or money;

(c)

restitution to those injured by the offence;

(3)

community work;

(4)

prohibition from engaging in certain occupations;

(5)

deprivation of rights and privileges;

(6)

admonishments and reprimands;

(7)

restraint; and

(8)

deportation of aliens.
