Article 2657
Prescription
(1)
Except as provided in sub-Article (2) and (3), any claim arising out of a contract of insurance shall be barred after two years from the day when the insured risk materialized.
#(2)
In case of concealment of facts or false statements, the period of prescription shall run from the day when the insurer learned about the concealment or false statement.
#(3)
In case of a claim, the period of shall run from the day when the claimant learned the insured risk had materialized if the claimant proves the date on which he learned about the claim.
