Article 2584
2. Improvements or Buildings
(1)
He who has acquired a hypothecated immovable and has increased its value by making thereon improvements, buildings, plantations or crops, may require to be paid, out of the proceeds of the sale, an amount corresponding to the increase in the value of the immovable since the day when the transfer of ownership was registered.
#(2)
Servitudes and other rights in rem which the person who acquired the immovable had on such immovable prior to acquiring it shall give rise to compensation, where they cannot revive.
