Article 2039
Lease Set Up against Purchaser of Immovable. - 1. Principle
(1)
Unless otherwise expressly agreed between the lessor and the lessee, a contract of lease may be set up against a third party who acquires the ownership or usufruct of the immovable given on lease after the delivery of the immovable to the lessee.

Nothing shall affect the case where the immovable has been expropriated by the authorized bodies.
