Article 799

Unless otherwise provided, the appointment of a legatee by universal title shall imply the disinheritance of the relatives of the testator if they are of the second, third or fourth relationship.

It shall not imply the disinheritance of the descendants of the testator.

Where the testator is survived by descendants and has not expressly disinherited them, the legatee by universal title shall partake of the succession together with such descendants as if he himself were a child of the testator.
