Article 108

If death is due to an event, such as a shipwreck, an air disaster, an earthquake, a land-slide, as a consequence of which there is reason to believe that several persons have perished, the death of such persons may be declared by a collective judgment.

The Court having jurisdiction in such case shall be that of the place where the event occurred.

However in the case of disappearance of a ship or of an aircraft, the Court having jurisdiction shall be that of the home port of the ship or aircraft.
