Article 86
Control of the Keeping of Registers
(1)
The departmental office of civil status shall supervise civil status officers and control the proper keeping of registers of civil status in the commune.
#(2)
It shall organize their inspection and take action for the repression of any criminal infringements which it ascertains.
#(3)
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs shall carry out the same duties as regards registers kept in consulates.
