Sources of Extra-Contractual Liability

Apart from any fault of his, a person is liable, where the law so provides, for injury caused to others by his activity or by a thing in his possession.

Finally, a person is liable where another person, for whom the law makes him answerable, incurs a liability based on fault or provided by law.
