Article 1694

No appeal shall lie against the judgment of the Court of first instance relating to the amount of compensation.

However, an appeal may lie where:

the Court has considered circumstances which it should not have taken into account or has failed to consider circumstances which it should have taken into account;

the amount of compensation fixed by the Court is manifestly unreasonable and could only have been inspired by prejudice or anger; or

such amount is due to an error of calculation on the part of the Court.
